A team of 9 fully-qualified first aid officers has been set up in the operations department of the Port of Bayonne.
The 9 staff members are volunteers and will provide first responder emergency aid should an accident occur. They are capable of providing first aid at any time within the company to any victim of a work accident while awaiting the arrival of the specialist emergency services.
They have attended an initial 12-hour training programme and have a 4-hour brush-up course every year.
