The Port's plans

The creation of cycle tracks, viewpoints, wooded areas and walks, such is the programme that concerns both the right and left banks of the Port of Bayonne : the zones of Lazeret, Blancpignon, Saint Bernard, etc.
Precise actions, that comprise what is known as the Port Park, are envisaged in order that the inhabitants of the neighbouring communities of the Port may understand its function.

The Port of Bayonne needs a direct and short route in order to develop new activities. The project known as Barreau Nord answers this need. Today vehicles that wish to join the Port quays must take a route that crosses Tarnos and which, at the Ondres motorway junction, represents about sixteen
kilometres.
