The role of the CCI

The CCI Bayonne, the Basque Country has been chosen by the Regional Council of Aquitaine as managers of the Port of Bayonne for a period of 15 years, and will be the concessionaire of it until 2024.

In the contract drawn up between the Regional Council of Aquitaine, owners of the Port of Bayonne, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bayonne, the Basque Country, the CCI will particularly ensure

1. the management of “superstructures” (public equipment, land sites and hangars): planning and landscaping, maintenance, operations, development
2. the implementation and financing of dredging operations,
3. tugging operations (entrusted to a private operator),
4. the maintenance and development of rail roads,
5. the promotion and management of the facility.
