PORT PARK

The creation of cycle tracks, viewpoints, wooded areas and walks, such is the programme that concerns both the right and left banks of the Port of Bayonne : the zones of Lazeret, Blancpignon, Saint Bernard, etc.

Precise actions, that comprise what is known as the Port Park, are envisaged in order that the inhabitants of the neighbouring communities of the Port may understand its function.

Of course the industrial and production zones cannot be made accessible but exhibitions, themed circuits, orientation tables and high points shall be set up in order to have an overall view even a general view of the Port.

Schools should not be forgotten since in agreement with the Regional Centre for Educational Documentation, local schools and colleges will be involved.

This landscaping is programmed to take place over the next ten years in consultation with the Port's neighbouring local municipal councils.
